“This four-star hotel certainly seems focused on wellness, starting with an award-winning spa and extending to its riverside location. A pet-friendly policy is also a welcome plus. Excellent food is clearly a point of pride, though one guest's breakfast experience suggests some inconsistency in service; still, the charm of the outdoor terrace and the lively Friday night music hint at a very convivial atmosphere.”

engaging staff efficient service river view soulless decor missing fridge overpriced feeling
The breakfast offered varied options! The staff was efficient and engaging during breakfast service. The location is very nice in a quieter area overlooking the river. Modern facilities are available.
I thought the decor was a bit soulless. The room would have been improved with a fridge. I felt it was a little overpriced.

the hotel sits right on the river, so i watched boats and wildlife from my room. a frequent water taxi service operates across the river. a larger water taxi goes to christchurch quay and mudeford sandbank.

mixed feelings about my stay.
parking fine noticeable signage
I received a parking fine after lunch. i've visited many times before and never paid for parking. the signage wasn't noticeable. the fine significantly increased the cost of lunch. It really annoyed me. the hotel needs to address this car parking policy or risk losing more customers.

excellent stay by the river!
excellent service comfortable size
the entire team provided excellent customer service. the room offered a great river view. food was really good and the hotel size was comfortable to accommodate all guest requirements. i would definitely revisit.
i was disgusted to receive a parking fine after visiting the hotel for lunch! the hotel leases this car park and seems to profit from it. i stayed longer than my ticket allowed after a relaxed lunch and drinks. the appeal process felt impersonal and final.
